What a girl sees is a self-centered ego maniac that's not going to be able to take care of her at all, because he isn't interested in her and doesn't listen to what she wants to state. Not a good relationship prospect.
One other way of saying it is that guys try to be interesting. They figure they need to be interesting for a girl to be interested in them. Sorry guys, but it fails that way. You have to be interested in the girl, not interesting to obtain her attention. Did you ever see two interesting persons on a date. It is hilarious! They're both so busy trying to be interesting to the other that neither has time to be considering the other.
If you do not know what I am talking about, think what makes you feel better. A girl who is serious about you? Or a girl who is letting you know how cool she is, how hot she is, and so on, and all kinds of other interesting issues.
Interesting leads to a lot of rejections and "platonic" friendships incidentally. Girls will be friends with a guy who is really interesting. Why? Girls love to be amused and entertained. Interesting guys are sort of like children to them. An origin of non-sexual amusement and pleasure.
